DAY 5 ... Road Runners add TEN MORE medals!
SE Road Runners compete in AAU National Club Championships at the Disney Wide World of Sports Track and Field Complex in Orlando, Florida.

ORLANDO, FL—The Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners added another ten medals on day five of the AAU National Club Championships in Orlando. The Roadrunners are currently second in the team comeptition with (247.50), while the Puerto Rican National team leads with (564.50), Metropolis (NY) is third (236.50), Remington Flyers (NY) are fourth (153), Boynton Beach (FL) fifth (109), The Heat (GA) sixth (107), Georgia Favor seventh (100), Central Florida Gliders eighth (93), New Orleans Metro Stars ninth (92) and Titans Track Club (GA) tenth (90.50).
    Tickfaw resident Eric Coston lead the way on day five by winning the Sub-Youth (13) boys 1500 meters in a recond time of (4:30.31), while Gabi Jennings (13) was the girls champion in (4:51.91). Sarah Petty (17-18) finished third in the discus (106-04), while Lauren Despeaux (17-18) was fourth (99-3). Madison Heath (15-16) earned the bronze medal in the pole vault (11-0), while Claiborne Eubanks (15-16) was third in javelin (131-04). Other medal winners were: Tommy Brocato (15-16) in theb 1500 (4:24.79), Brady Becerra (14) in the high jump (5-4), Rick McClendon (13) in the shot put (32-04.50), Reagan Riggins (15-16) in the javelin (69-08).
    Also posting top ten finishes were: Victoria Cefalu(11) ninth in the 1500 (6:19.55), Crystal Rock (14) ninth in the high jump (4-06), Meghan Becerra (13) tenth in the 1500 (5:25.40) and she was eleventh in the shot put (27-03.25),Annie Walls (12) tenth in the discus (53-05) and was thirteenth in the 1500 (5:57.33), Dawson Gildig (11) tenth in the 1500 (5:27.50), Alex Klocek (9) was tenth in the shot put (16-01.50). Also competing and posting some good efforts were: Destiny Williams (13) was fifteenth in the 1500 (5:32.64), Mason Valure (11) was 15th in the turbo javelin (41-09), Clay Hyde (17-18) was 27th in the 1500 (4:47.69), Breanna Becerra (8-under) was 29th in the 400 (1:27.41), Caroline Eschete (8-under) was 38th in the 400 (1:35.33) and Craig Rock (15-16) was 36th in the 400 (53.15).

DAY 4 ... Road Runners pick up another nine medals!

ORLANDO, FL—The Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners picked-up another nine medals in the field events of Day four of the AAU National Club Championships in Orlando. Sarah Petty (17-18) led the way with a silver medal in the shot put (32-08), while teammate Lauren Despeaux (17-18) was fourth (30-11). Noah Riche'(17-18) was also second in the boys shot put (44-08.50).
    Chalah Rock (9) was third in the high jump (3-06), while Alex Klocek (9) was fifth in the boys high jump (3-06) and Craig Rock(15-16) was fifth in the high jump (5-10). Mason Valure (11) was fourth in the boys shot put (35-05), Samantha Zelden (14) was fourth in the discus (86-07), Claiborne Eubanks (15-16) earned the seventh place medal in the discus (105-08) and Rick McClendon (13) was ninth in the discus (64-09). Crystal Rock (14) was fourteenth in the long jump (14-1). Meghan Becerra (13) led the runners in 800 meter qualifying with a twelfth place finish in the semi-finals (2:39.13) to advance to the finals on Sunday, while teammate Destiny Williams (13) was close at the 14th position (2:40.49). Nick Nleson (17-18) was 40th in the 800 (2:13.50), Dylan Cefalu (8-under) was 20th in the 800 (4:07.12) and Victoria Cefalu (11) was 27th in the 800 (3:07.37).

DAY 3 ... Road Runners earn 16 Medals!
SE Road Runners compete in AAU National Club Championships at the Disney Wide World of Sports Track and Field Complex in Orlando, Florida.

ORLANDO, FL—The Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners earned a total of 16 Medals on the 3rd day of competition at the AAU National Club Championships in Orlando, Florida. Leading the way was Gabrielle Jennings in setting a National Club Championships meet record to win the Sub-Youth (13's) girls 3000 meters in (10:29.15).
    Earning a gold medal was Tommy Brocato (15-16) in the 3000 meters (9:40.44) and Samantha Zelden(14) in the javelin (108-05). Eric Coston (13) posted a second place finish in the 3000 (9:56.14), Trey Klechak (14) was second in the discus (130-03) and third in the shot put (41-06.50). Noah Riche (17-18) was second in the boys javelin (183-07), while Sarah Petty (17-18) was third in the girls javelin (102-02) and Lauren Despeaux (17-18) was sixth in the girls javelin (76-02). Rick McClendon (13) finished fourth in the discus (91-08), while Meghan Becerra (13) was earned the eighth place medal in the discus (57-06). Dawson Gildig (11) was sixth in the 3000 (11:49.85), was ninth in the high jump (3-10), while Victoria Cefalu (11) was sixth in the 3000 (13:36.23).
    Chalah Rock(9) was eighth in the long jump (10-05.50), Breanna Becerra (8-under) was eighth in the long jump (9-04.25), 15th in the shot put (10-07.50), while Caroline Eschete (8-under) was eighth in the shot put (14-01.25) and twelfth in the long jump (8-10.00).
    Annie Walls (12) just missed out on a medal in the 3000 (12:43.43) at the ninth position, while Clay Hyde (17-18) was 18th in the 3000 (10:46.89). Claiborne Eubanks (15-16) was 13th in the shot put (32-11.00), while Dylan Cefalu (8-under) was 15th in the shot put (8-09.50) and 20th in the long jump (7-10.25).

DAY 2 ... Brady Becerra earns gold medal!

ORLANDO, FL—Brady Becerra earned the gold medal in the Youth boys (14) Pentathlon at the AAU National Club Championships in Orlando. Becerra posted a total of (2,457 points) for the win, with the following marks: 100 hurdles (14.57-794 pts.), shot put (26-7.25- 373 pts.), high jump (5-3 - 464 pts.), long jump (15-7 - 335 pts.) and 1500 (5:12.35 - 491 pts).
    Craig Rock (15-16) earned the fifth place medal in the Decathlon with (4,374 pts). Rock had the following marks on the second day of the event: 110 meter hurdles (15.97-736 pts.), javelin (48-7 - 93 pts.), pole vault (NH - 0 pts.), discus (73-10 - 319 pts.) and 1500 (5:00.11 - 559 pts). Reagan Riggins earned the eighth place medal in the Intermediate girls (15-16) division with (2,571 pts). Riggins posted marks of: long jump (13-9 - 352 pts.), javelin (66-2 - 292 pts.) and 800 (3:13.75 - 245 pts). Ryan Riggins (17-18) was tenth in the Decathlon (4,625 pts.) with the following second day marks: 110 hurdles (16.14- 717 pts.), pole vault (9-00.25 - 298 pts.), discus (100-01 - 474 pts.), javelin (96-03 - 290 pts.) and 1500 (5:51.32 - 301 pts.). Claiborne Eubanks (15-16) was tenth in the Decathlon (3,590 pts.) with the following second day marks: 110 meter hurdles (22.00 - 208 pts.), javelin (126-2 - 420 pts.), discus (88-7 - 406 pts.), pole vault (8-00.25 - 231 pts.) and 1500( 6:09.76 - 165 pts.).

Chalah Rock wins gold!

ORLANDO, FL—Chalah Rock led the Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners on the first day of competition in the AAU National Club Championships at the Disney Wide World of Sports Track and Field Complex in Orlando, Florida with a gold medal in the sub-bantam (9's) girls triathlon with (719 points). Rock posted the following marks to win: high jump (3-9.25-266 pts), shot put (16-4.25 - 207 pts.) and 200 meters (33.87- 246 pts).
    Reagan Riggins (15-16) is currently eighth in the Heptathlon (1679 points), with the following marks: 100 hurdles (18.35-453 pts), high jump (4-6 - 481 pts.), shot put (21-06.25- 307 pts.) and 200 (30.64 - 438 pts.). Craig Rock (15-16) is currently second in the Decatyhlon (2667 points) after the first day of competition with the following marks: 100 (11.89 - 673 pts.), long jump (17-07 - 453 pts.), shot put (27-01.75 - 382 pts.) and 400 (55.00 - 599 pts.). Claiborne Eubanks (15-16) is ninth in the Decathlon (2099 points), 100 (13.53-382 pts.), long jump (16-11.25-413 pts.), shot put (33-09.50 - 504 pts.), high jump (5-03.75 - 480 pts.) and 400 (1:02.90 - 320 pts.). Ryan Riggins(17-18) is in eleventh place after the first day of the Decathlon (2545 pts.) with the following marks: 100 (12.08-635 pts.), long jump (17-08.25- 459 pts.), shot put (36-05.50- 553 pts.), high jump (4-11 - 389 pts.) and 400 (57.32-509 pts.)
